IMPORTANT! WHEN BUYING PHOTOS FROM US:
All the original vintage images are sold without watermarks.
All our press photos are LIMITED ARCHIVE ORIGINALS – they are not reprints or digital prints produced by us. We sell them in the same conditions they were given to us by the archives.
SEE the BACKSIDE OF the PHOTO – many times the image for sale will present stamps, dates and other publication details – these marks attest and increase the value of the press photos.
Since the photos are old press photograps they may have scratches, lines or other wears of time, which just underlines the authenticity and age of the photos.
What you will buy from us has a true historical value and authenticity. All these old photos have a story to tell and come from reliable sources.
In the past, the photos were often parts of series or were mass produced by the archives. Nowadays, their number is decimed – many were destroyed by time, use or natural disasters. Few were preserved and are nowadays carefully stored in our archives.

23 AUG 1975 ove chang L THEIR OWN WORK PRETP FALCON ROWING Club have found one answer to infla- tion. Nearly two years ago they bought a do-it-yourself shell scull boat kit for 120, but the problem was that as none of the members were adventurous houg to as- semble the boat the kit lay in the boat house gathering dust. But a few weeks ago two mem- bers, Peter Green and Robin Stonehill, decided to have a M go and after three and a half weeks of working every even- ing lo and behold Falcon had a fine new boat. The boat is to be named the Stanley Pryce after one of the club’s longest serving mem- bers and a former president. Fresh from this experience, Peter Green had his first venture into competitive scul- ling last Saturday when he entered the Silver Challenge Sculls for novice scullers at the Oxford Royal Regatta and reached the final only to be beaten by three lengths by his Reading opponent. I hasten to add that this was not in the boat that Peter and Robin built. Anyway, he was not too displeased with his ef- forts because his seat jam- med on the slide half way over the course in that final and caused him to lose vital leeway that might have made the difference between vic- tory and defeat. 23 AUG 1975 Peter is also entered for the novice sculls at Ross on Wye on Monday and the success- ful youth four will be in the under 16 event hoping to add a third trophy to the two al- ready won this season. u 31 QU urself oarsmen, Robin Stonehill (left) and Peter Green.
